The Zone B Movement of Oju Local Government Area of Benue State has reacted in pool of tears over the alleged murder of Joy Okom Adole by her Lagos employer.
Late Joy was our own dear daughter of blood affinity who hailed from Ochodu-Ukpa of Oju LGA. We have no doubt that death is inevitable but we cannot condole the gruesome murder of our sister characterised by this kind of inhuman torture.
The organ considered the killing as the “Act of War” which cannot be left undefended. Describing the killing as not only inhuman, barbaric and cannibalistic in nature but also an exhibition of witchcraft of the highest order.
No matter the grieve, tears and anger in our minds, we will not fail to thank all Igede sons and daughters who out of patrotism sacrificed in one way or the other in defending the injustice surrounding the killing of our young sister.
While the Organ sent a strong message to the murderer, Nene Steve to “eat and remain for them” on Sunday, April 26, 2020, chanting “owo wu onyi nyijwo, ijwo welele’, however, beckoned on the Federal and State governments to legally look into the matter despite the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic currently ravaging all spheres of human endeavour.
