The ‘Bulldozer’, Comrade Dan Onda among two other politicians, has been penciled down by the Oju LG Chapter of the PDP for the position of Special Adviser in Governor Samuel Ortom’s second term administration. Though the governor is expected to pick one from the three who gets the Oju slot of the SA, opinion poll seems to give Onda an edge over others.
In the category of Senior Special Assistants, Comrade Benson Obegya and Engr. Dominic Agwa have already been selected by the PDP without opposition, while Andyson Iji Egbodo’s pick understandably comes from the powerhouse in Makurdi for his unrelenting crusade for the success of the governor and his wife in the last elections.
There are two others selected by the caucus of the party to be hired by the governor as Special Assistants, SAs.
The names and faces of Andyson, Onda, Obega and Angwa as some of the new blood to be drawn from Oju by the governor into his govt have particularly excited many youths.
However, the estimation of members of the public is sometimes not the calculation of the governor who has the final say as per who become members of his cabinet. For this reason if the governor picks someone else as Special Adviser from Oju or retains the incumbent, it will not be a surprise.
