With the uncertainty of the claim by the Benue State Government concerning the first Corona Virus case in the state still trending, the state has recorded a confirmed case of the deadly virus. The news was broke this morning by the governor himself; HE Gov. Samuel Ortom that the state has recorded a new case of covid-19.

This was made known by the governor’s media aide; Mr Nelson Ogbu and the patient’s name was given to be one NDLEA official – Edward Manger who returned from Kano to Benue, seven days ago.

Recall a report on agbaclassicmedia.com on the alleged positivity to the virus, of one Mrs Susan Okpe who returned from the UK for her mother’s burial and was captured by the state’s NCDC. The woman claimed not to be positive to the deadly virus as she has been kept in isolation center in Benue and later moved to Abuja for more than 30 days already, against the normal 14 days direction given by NCDC.

Many social media users have come out to write about the case, begging the governor to release the woman, but unfortunately, no valid information on her release yet, before the discovery of the new case.
