*Justice, fairness, peace will prevail
The three last-standing contenders to the seat of Oju/Obi federal constituency in the Lower Chamber of NASS at the Tribunal, Ogewu, Okwu and Eworo representing APGA, PDP and APC respectively, barring any last minute development, will know their fate today.
One of three things is expected from the tribunal verdict.
Incumbent Samson Okwu may be declared the lawful winner in today’s ruling.
Either so or Ogewu’s victory would be upheld. Either of the two will be the verdict or order for rerun predicated on inconclusiveness of the Feb 23 poll is imminent.
In the event of a rerun or fresh election, Eworo may take the shine.
Whichever way the pendulum swings, there is likely to be a trigger of new hustle for votes in the constituency ahead rerun. Or jubilations will erupt in some quiet camps while in others new rounds of litigation at appeal will kickstart.
Whatever will be the verdict, let justice, fairness and peace prevail.
We don’t want anybody’s bladder galled, knowing Igede Agba is just by the corner. Much pounded yam to be eaten.
One nation!
